Hey you, How are you doing? It’s been a long time since I last posted, let’s say about 2 weeks ago.
And while I have been intentionally working on personal development (oh, not to worry will make a separate post on this) in the past few weeks, I have really been slacking on here.
Below I have listed 8 struggles of a content creator No.2 being the Writer’s block.
I honestly desire a Website Rebrand.
By adding one or two features and bits of a tweak here and there. There’s a certain way I want my Website to feel and if you are a content creator you might understand what I mean and for me the outlay is not there yet and at the moment It feels a little over the place.
But It might just be me overthinking (as I can be a little too hard on myself) but that’s by the way.
2. The Writer’s block
Writer’s block is a term used in the creating space where you simply can’t write or collate your thoughts together into written form.
I enjoy writing, however, lately I would say, I have been suffering a bit from the writer’s block, where I don’t know what to write nor do I feel inspired to.
I take a pen and I can’t pen nothing down. Have you ever being there?Jomsbeauty.com
Although, I have already drafted contents, that haven’t made it to the blog yet and that’s because I sometimes feel as though those drafted ones I have are not good enough (and by the way that’s me being super hard on myself).
As a recovering perfectionist, I sometimes have those thoughts about people not reading my blogpost, or maybe it might be boring, so on and so forth.

3. SCHEDULING POSTS
I’ve also had a hard time with scheduling post In the sense that, as a lifestyle blogger, I enjoy writing from travel to events, inspirations and so on so it is not specific to a particular niche yet and the challenge to that is..
For instance, If I chose to write and post on TRAVEL this week so the question is always like should I continue with travel posts for the rest of the month and switch to another area the next month or do I freestyle and post which ever area I want to? Do you get me?
It’s always been a question of which should I post this week? And me struggling between choosing the drafted topics already on my laptop and at the end frustrated, shutting down my laptop and not posting.
Since I am a LIFESTYLE BLOGGER, choosing whether to post about beauty today, travel tomorrow and life experience kind of gets hold of me.
Recently, the topics I have been inspired to write about, has been a little bit sensitive, which would require me being transparent(that requires vulnerability), real and personal.
and although my blog is suppose to be a SAFE HAVEN for me, where I get to connect with like-minded souls like you, I worry I might end up oversharing.
For example, the one time I wrote about why I stopped modeling check here, it was a vulnerable one. And it took me weeks before getting the courage to post that.
I’m scared that in the process of blogging I might over share which I fear I may not be prepared for.
5. MAKING A REVENUE
Also, as much as I see this space as a safe haven for me and my readers. I would also love to make revenue from blogging in the long run. I say this to say, sometimes thinking about all this kind of overwhelms me.
Although, I have been taking lots of courses on Blogging, how to build a Blog, make substantial income from it and so on.
It still feels like I’ve got a long way to go. Just maybe, I might be overthinking this, but this has been all that has been going on since I stopped posting on here.
6. CREATING A WORK-LIFE BALANCE + CONSISTENCY
Consistency has been a big one for me, since I also have a YouTube channel, which I love dearly (although, I have only been 4 months into Youtube) I would love to create a balance between posting on there (Youtube) and on here(blog) .
Blogging takes a lot of time. It’s been 3hours writing this particular post and I still need an extra 30 minutes or more to finish up before publishing.
It doesn’t come cheap yet I enjoy Writing.
Since it is still a one-man business, I have to juggle between content creating and a full-time career.
In the long run I Envision having a STABLE day where my blogpost goes up and my Youtube goes up . I do t want it to clash and I don’t want the days to be interchangeable. So I’m still in the process of looking at what day and time works best for posting blogs and videos.
I believe anyone that put an effort into a thing would desire to see it grow.
I dream and desire to see my blog grow. I dream of having millions of returning subscribers, creating online courses, making a living (as a side hustle)
I believe in the endless possibilities and opportunities this platform would bring.
I sometimes get carried away with consistently checking my analytics and although I still I’m new in the blogging space(4months into blogging, in few days from publish date we turning 5, 👏 ) I get overwhelmed with it. Especially when I see it growing and all of a A sudden it drops.
Since I get more response and shares, each I share my post to my contact list. But I fear it might be a little boggling for you (thought in my head) getting these random notifications weekly reasons I stopped for a while and would only make general post
However, I saw the effect on my blog post and also my YouTube channel. The engagement went down drastically 😭
…that’s why It would be great if you sign up for my email list as It’s less boggling this way.
Please feel free to Subscribe to my email listing ( I have something just for those who subscribe) and share or repost on your social media platform as my readers may be in your platform.
Also I’m pledging to be more consistent, give great content, be more transparent to without the fear of being judged.
I will Do it Afraid !
Moving forward, I hope I’m able to connect much more deeply with you and serve you best.
Thanks for taking the time .
